The original maker of Bapes was by a guy named Nigo. His nick name meant the number two in japenese and his role model early influences had been Elvis, The Beatles, and Run DMC. He studied fashion and decided to open a store in Harajuku, Tokyo on the day of April 1, 1993. He started his own brand and named it "Bathing Ape" which means "bathing in lukewarm water" in japenese. (contains of some japenese spiritual practice) Which also is another way to represent the japenese young folks being spoiled and pampered with a lot of good treatment. Just from this Nigo began selling the clothes and business was really good, he began making alot of money.
